The M58U-1NM toolbox boasts a robust construction with a 14-gauge cold-rolled steel hull and bottom, promising unparalleled strength and durability. The lid features the same steel construction, reinforced with an inner stiffener for added rigidity. All welds are full arc welds, eliminating the weaknesses associated with spot welds.
Efficient Lid and Latch Design
The toolbox lid is equipped with two spring-type props that facilitate effortless opening and closing. Attached to the toolbox hull with two 4" stainless steel butt hinges, the lid ensures secure closure and easy access to your tools. The toolbox also features full-size, stainless steel paddle latches recessed into the hull, which can be operated or locked from either side of the vehicle for maximum convenience. Two keys are provided per box for secure storage.
Ingenious Design Elements
The toolbox is designed with a rear offset in the lid to allow flush mounting to the front of the pickup box, while the lower front face of the box is diagonally tapered to accommodate wheel wells on short bed trucks. The lid is equipped with a ribbed D-Bulb seal that creates a tight seal against the flange around the box opening, protecting your tools from the elements.
